I really have never attempted a "handmade christmas" before. But in keeping with the trend of my gift giving year so far, I will continue with the homemade items. I don't buy {or rather make this year} very many presents as is. So it should not be too difficult. My christmas cards are made, and all but 3 of them are mailed out. I feel on the right track. I have spent most of today cutting cardstock and paper to make writing books for each of the kids in my kids' classes. I have all but one class list, and so far we are looking at 61 books. Ashleys class has 28 kids, and Brandons has 23. Isabella's morning class {kindergarten} has 11 and her afternoon enrichment class is the only one I am waiting on. I have 73 sets of paper, and I think about 70 of the cardstock cut. But the binding may take me awhile, without an instant setter. :( Other christmas-y gifts I am looking at making... well I have found a lot of ideas on the Sew Mama Sew website. I am thinking...
this scarf
this kitchen set with maybe a cookbook
This rice heat therapy bag
These placemats for Ashley's class present
this crayon roll
a doorstop
and I am sure a few more things. Now I just need to get to it :)
